Two on a Bike

Our intrepid tandem cycle adventurers Ann and Ross Pearson were in Brisbane recently, so we took the opportunity to catch up with them. Our Office Manager Matthew visited them at their lodgings on Friday 30th April. President Ian caught up with them at a BBQ lunch courtesy of The Northside Younger Stroke Survivors Support Group at the Roma Street Parklands.

They are such a fit and energetic young couple. They are travelling all on their own with no support vehicle. Ross deals with his deficits in a very positive way. If they are coming through your area don’t miss an opportunity to meet them. The slogan that is spelled out in big letters on the side of their tandem bike and laden tiny trailer is “ABLE TO RIDE”, which just about sums it up. At the end of their two year, many thousand kilometer adventure they will probably have seen more of Australia and its’ people than anyone else in our history. Their epic journey will surely belong in the pages of the Guiness Book of Records.
You can read and see photos of all of it in their diary on

You can also get their revised, fatter itinerary from their website
