Design
Concept
The current web site is designed with user friendliness
in mind. Some users may find that there many blank spaces on the
page, that's because the majority of users are using screen with
resolution of 800x600, and the web site is designed specifically
to accommodate that resolution. If you're screen resolution is
higher than that, the page will auto-stretch to fill the width
of the screen, but there will be plenty of spaces on the page.
Most long articles on the site are divided into smaller sections;
their chapters index can be accessed conveniently on the left panel
of the screen. Users can also access the next chapter at the end
of each section. This is designed to avoid long loading time, and
the annoyance to scroll down many screens just to read the whole
article.
Some users may find the font is too big, or the contrast of colour
is too strong. Please bear in mind that some users may have difficulty
reading (some stroke survivor's vision may decline dramatically
after a stroke attack). The layout is designed to improve readability
for those users.
