History
The Stroke Association of Queensland's
(SAQ) original website was "probably" launched in the
late 90's, and was "probably" done by a volunteer. This
information is hard to keep track of, because volunteers come and
go, and sometimes are hard to keep in touch with.
The original author, presumably a person named "Grant Freeman",
must get some credits for the contents he has set out. Without
his original contents, the update process would take much longer
than anyone could have imagined.
October, 2003, a volunteer,
named Lun-Chu(Steve) Chen, who specialized in computing, came
to SAQ
with the "yes can do" attitude.
This person fixed network, database problems, designed the layout
of the latest newsletter and also decided to redesign the whole
website from ground up. With a few twists and turns (not knowing
who's hosting the site, where the original files were..etc). The
redesign of the site commenced in the beginning of November 2003,
with a number of sleepless nights, and the help and support of
the president, Ian and the office manager, Matthew of SAQ, the
prototype of the final site was done and ready to be tested on
11th of November 2003. It was finally launched on November 13,
2003.
Finally, apart from those who designed the site, we must also
give credits to people who helped to enrich the contents of site.
The company who is kind enough to provide us with the nice photos
we used on the site, freefoto.com.

The company who is kindly hosting the site for us, webCentral.
And all of the copyrights holder of
all articles listed in the site. We give you a big "Thank you".
Without your help, it's impossible to get this site up and running.
